We run regular Workshops and Courses open to any young person within our age range and for specialist groups like Buckinghamshire Community & Youth Engagement, Education of Children in Public Care, Great Marlow Alternative Learning Project, HMYOI Aylesbury, Spurgeon’s and Bucks Young Carers
We believe the best way to learn about the sometimes confusing world of music and music technology is through practical experience. With this in mind the majority of workshop time is spent in ‘hands on’ sessions in the recording studio. ‘Creativity’ is encouraged and participants are given a free rain on which style or type of music they would like to create, with helpful tips from our trained Youth Music Workers.

Studio Based Workshops and Courses
We run a wide range of workshops and courses of varying length dependant upon the young person’s needs and aims of the group. Sessions can last from 2 hours to 10 weeks with a wide range of activities available.
For example: One Day Music Workshop e.g. 12– 4pm, where the group aim is to write and record a song in that time on personal or group issue based topic. Having completed this Workshop you can attend the Ten Session Music Course, this runs over ten weeks, the group will use the writing and recording equipment to explore another piece of music, but this time in much more depth. We also offer a ‘Trax’ session which allows the participant to produce their own track in two weeks, in two x 2 hrs sessions. We can also then move into the Mobile Workstations to Pre-program Music, which you can bring into the main studio to add the final ‘polish’ to your recordings; this could be for example recording your own vocals or instrumentation. Although playing an instrument can add to the track it is not vital. These Workshops and Course are open to young people with a range of skill levels.
